Our Wildcats player of the week is Harper. Harper has been with us a while and she has really improved in that time. She loves scoring goals !!
Parents & Carers
We all have our part to play
As the season comes to an end Phoenix Youth FC would like to say a huge thank you to all the Coaches, Committee Members, Volunteers and also the partners and children of our Coaches who are often forgotten. Without you guys there is no Phoenix YFC, so thank you so much for your dedication and hard work.
This season has far exceeded our expectations. We’ve taken on an U9’s Team who have fully embraced our Philosophy of Respect & Inclusion, along with a new U10’s development team. Our existing teams have also been successful in their respective age groups.
I use the word successful both on and off the pitch, as our players form lifelong friendships. We are very clear as a club of our real agenda and “goals” and that football is just the vehicle to get there.
From FTYLab to bowling, watching Championship matches and even paintballing, we endeavour to give our players more than just football and an opportunity to socialise off of the pitch.
So, where do we go from here…..
Next season we will enter two girls teams into the league. Our Wildcats have gone from strength to strength and we endeavour to bring competitive football for girls.
We move to TeamFeePay, whereby we have up to date tech in place to monitor players, their code of conduct and annual consent and an easier way to pay subs.
STATSports - we have two GPS trackers that we aim to use to have inter club competitions between our players.
On top of that we hope to take on more coaches, get more coaches qualified, lots more social events, and offer more opportunity for players to play competitively while keeping the existing format of our club philosophy in place and to help development our current players.
Between now and the start of next season we still have some tournaments and of course our End of Season Presentation, where the Mixed Teams will celebrate the season.
Thank you to all of you for your ongoing support and to all our players who have been an absolute pleasure to have in the club.
From the Ashes we will rise!
Some of our younger Wildcats were invited to a training session at the Vitality Stadium and shown around the Stadium today. Thank you to AFC Bournemouth and Shaun for organising.
Well done to our Phoenix Youth FC Lionesses who were in action this morning. A fantastic performance by Lacey who was Player of the Matc.
Wildcats Player of the week is Sophia. She has been with wildcats since September 2020 and has never got player of the week (thanks dad for coaching!) but also gives her best in training and matches and always works hard as part of the team. Saints fan too so that helps!
We would encourage everyone to complete The FA FREE online module of sudden cardiac arrests in football.
This is online and takes 1 hour. You will need a FAN (FA Number) for this, if you don’t have one you can register for one on the course.
We would like as many people as possible to complete this module and to share it among their peers.
“The more awareness we can raise on this issue, the greater is the chance of early recognition and lifesaving intervention being performed.
Tournament Season continued today at Wimborne Town FC. Huge thanks to Matty Holmes for organising as well as the staff of WTFC for their hospitality.
We had both our U10’s and U12’s teams in action against some of the best teams Dorset has to offer and competed well.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the coaches involved yesterday and today who give up their weekends to give the kids a fun day out.
Well done to Jacob and Josh for their respective Player of the Tournament Awards for their performances across the WTFC tournament
Our Wildcats player of the match is Evie. She worked so hard today and is really improving and getting more involved.
Our Wildcats played Braishfield Bees who travelled down to us. It was a good morning for girls football with both teams trying so hard and coming off with big smiles
