As Phoenix YFC fourth season comes to a close and we look to the close season and tournaments and end of season presentations I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Coaches for the time they give up as volunteers to make sure that our kids have the best possible experience playing football and making friends.
It’s a tough job, but the main goal is that we’re helping to try and make these kids into happy, healthy and good human beings, and looking across the teams I’m grateful for the hard work the coaches put in week in week out, as the backbone of the club.
Thank you to the parents who support us and back the decisions we make and to the players who have been fantastic ambassadors for the club this season. It’s wonderful to get messages every week of new players hearing about what we do, and try and take on as many as we can, although it’s not always possible.
It’s take a huge amount of people to make it possible to run a club, so the gratitude extends not only to the Coaches, but our volunteers who pick up a whistle or flag, the coaches partners and kids and not forgetting our amazing sponsors and partners at Ferndown Leisure Centre, Pelhams and Star Soccer Supplies.
We’re always striving to be the best, players, teams, club and whilst trophies are nice, our philosophy has always been on developing players four corners, including physical, technical and focusing on Psychological and Social meaning football is a vehicle to becoming an all round better player/person. When players leave for bigger and better clubs we are grateful for the time they spend with us and proud that we’ve been part of their upward journey.
So, just a post highlighting where we’ve come from and where we are, and how thankful we are as a club to the people who have made that happen.
