Dorset FA have issued a further update regarding the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on football in England.
Following the Government’s announcement today, for people to avoid social contact and gatherings where possible, they are now advising that all grassroots football in England is postponed for the foreseeable future. The Dorset FA have also decided to postpone all matches across all FA competitions, including those outside of the professional game, until 3 April.
Phoenix Youth F.C. are committed to trying to complete all fixtures and will be liaising with the relevant parties to establish appropriate options to do so.
Throughout this period, we have taken Government advice with the priority being the health and wellbeing of all. We will continue to work closely with the Dorset FA during this time.
The Football Association are in regular communication with the Government and the situation within English football at all levels remains under regular review. Further updates will follow as needed.
Phoenix Youth FC hope that we will be able to reinstate training and matches as soon as possible and will be in regular contact with parents.
Please note that Phoenix Youth F.C. do not promote any unofficial gatherings and would ask that these are not discussed on Phoenix whatsapp groups or Phoenix social media.
Apologies for this, however we must adhere to strict government guidelines and would ask that you be understanding that we are doing this due to Health and Safety precautions.
If in the meantime you have any questions, please message me privately.
